Best Wiper Blades for a Tesla Model Y (2026): Sizes, Bosch Picks and What Fits Your Year

Tesla specifies a 26-inch driver blade and a 20-inch passenger blade, and says the replacement connector must match the original. Tesla changed the connector on Model Ys built from about February 2025, so on a 2025–2027 Juniper, Tesla’s own blade is the safe pick. For a 2020–2024 car, look for a 26″ + 20″ set listed for your year, like the Bosch AeroTwin set below.

First, which Model Y do you have?

Tesla changed the wiper connector on Model Ys built from about February 2025, the redesigned car people call the Juniper. Blades for the 2020–2024 car look almost identical but won’t slide onto the newer arms. If you’re not sure which you have, a 2026 model year Model Y has a T as the 10th character of its VIN.

Model Y wiper sizes

SideLength
Driver26″ (650 mm)
Passenger20″ (500 mm)

Those are Tesla’s numbers, and Tesla says the replacement connector must match the original. You’ll often see 26- and 19-inch sets suggested for the Model Y; those are the Model 3’s sizes.

Blades to skip

  • 26- and 19-inch sets: Model 3 sizes, even when they’re listed for the Model Y.
  • Bosch AeroTwin on a Juniper: it fits the 2020–2024 car only.

How to swap the blades

Tesla’s steps, in short: park and turn the wipers off, then go to Controls > Service > Wiper Service Mode to move the arms into position. Lift an arm just far enough to reach the blade (they don’t lock up), put a towel under it to protect the windshield, press the tab and slide the old blade off. Slide the new one on until it clicks, give it a push-pull test, then turn Wiper Service Mode off. Tesla recommends replacing the blades at least once a year.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size wiper blades does a Tesla Model Y use?

A 26-inch blade on the driver’s side and a 20-inch blade on the passenger’s side, with a connector identical to the original, according to Tesla.

Will 26- and 19-inch wiper blades fit a Model Y?

They are the Model 3’s sizes, not the Model Y’s. Tesla specifies a 20-inch passenger blade for the Model Y, so look for 26- and 20-inch sets listed for your exact year.

Do Bosch AeroTwin wipers fit the 2025–2027 Model Y Juniper?

No. The AeroTwin 3397014621 set fits the 2020–2024 Model Y, but the Juniper uses a newer connector and the AeroTwin does not slide onto its arms. Tesla’s own 2025+ blade is the safe choice.

How often should you replace Model Y wiper blades?

Tesla recommends replacing the wiper blades at least once a year.
