A J1772 adapter is small, and it’s easy for it to roll around a door pocket or the sub-trunk. The Spigen J1772 adapter holder gives it a home. Ours is in the driver’s door pocket, next to the trash can, and the adapter goes in and out of it every night. Here’s how it fits and why we use it more than a lot of Tesla owners would.

Short answer
It’s a molded holder that grips the Tesla J1772 adapter and sits in a door pocket. The adapter clicks into it and stays put. If you charge on a J1772 charger at home or use public Level 2 stations, it keeps the adapter where your hand expects it.
Why we use the J1772 adapter every night
Many Tesla owners only use the J1772 adapter at public chargers. We use ours every night. Our home charger is a ChargePoint Home Flex that we installed for a previous plug-in hybrid, and it has a J1772 plug. The adapter that came with the car goes on the plug, and the plug goes in the car. So the adapter comes out of the door pocket and goes back in every day, which is exactly what a holder is for.
Fit in the door pocket
It sits in the driver’s door pocket next to the trash can, and both fit. The adapter docks with one push and comes out with one pull. It stays in place and doesn’t rattle or make any noise.

Who should buy it
Anyone who uses the J1772 adapter regularly: owners with a non-Tesla home charger, or anyone who relies on public Level 2 stations. If you only charge at Superchargers or a Tesla Wall Connector, you’ll rarely use the adapter, and the holder is a nice-to-have.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Model Y come with a J1772 adapter?
Yes. Our 2026 Model Y came with the mobile connector, a set of adapters that included the J1772 one, and carpet floor mats. Nothing else came with it.
Where should you keep the J1772 adapter in a Tesla?
The front door pocket is the easiest to reach when you’re plugging in. The sub-trunk works if you only use the adapter on trips.
Will it fit my Model Y?
This version is made for the Juniper (2025–2027) Premium and Performance and the Model Y L, per Amazon’s listing. Ours is a 2026 Premium. If you have a 2020–2024 Model Y, don’t assume it fits. Check the listing for your exact year and trim.
Does the holder rattle or make noise?
No. Ours stays in place and doesn’t make any noise.
