The short answer: regular Model Y floor mats don’t fit the Model Y L. The six-seater is longer, with captain’s chairs and a third row, so it needs its own set. Right now, Tesla’s own Model Y L liners are the one sure option you can buy. 3W’s new Model Y L set, the first third-party mats made for it, sold out within days of launch; when it’s back, our code PLUGIN35 takes 35% off.
Why regular Model Y mats won’t fit
The Model Y L is a longer car with a different floor: separate second-row captain’s chairs with a walk-through gap, a third row, and a longer cargo area. Mats cut for the five-seat Model Y leave gaps or don’t sit flat, and the trunk liner is the wrong length. Buy only sets that name the Model Y L.
Our picks
Tesla Model Y L All-Weather Interior Liners
Research pickTesla · made for the Model Y L · driver, passenger and second-row liners · $260 · Tesla owners only
Tesla’s own liners are the surest fit, made for the Model Y L only. They cover the driver, passenger and second-row footwells, not the third row or cargo area, and they’re often out of stock.
3W Model Y L Custom Floor Mats (2026–2027)
Research pick
Made for the six-seat Model Y L · all three rows · TPE
Sold out at 3W right now. The first batch went within days of launch; we’ll update this as soon as it’s back.
$359.99 for the 9-piece set with cargo and frunk trays, or $219.99 for the three-row mats only, at 3W · price as of 2026-10-30
3W’s set covers all three rows, and the 9-piece version adds the cargo area and frunk, in the same TPE as 3W’s Juniper mats, which we already recommend. It sold out within days of launch, and 3W has taken the listing down until it restocks. We’ll update this page when it’s back; PLUGIN35 should still bring the 9-piece set to about $234.
Good for: The only third-party set made for the six-seater, covering all three rows, with cargo and frunk trays in the 9-piece version. About $234 for the full set with PLUGIN35.
Watch out for: Sold out right now, and brand new, so no owner reviews yet. 3W’s Juniper mats are well reviewed, but this is a different mold.
Skip it if: You want zero fit risk today. Tesla’s own Model Y L liners cover the first two rows and are a sure fit.
Watch out for pooled reviews
Several Model Y L mat listings on Amazon show hundreds or thousands of reviews for a car that’s only been on U.S. roads for a few months. Those reviews usually come from the same seller’s Juniper, Model 3 or Cybertruck mats. Read a few reviews and make sure they mention the Model Y L before trusting the rating.
What to check before you buy
- Rows covered: does the set include the third row, or only the front two?
- Cargo and frunk: some sets include trays for the trunk, sub-trunk and frunk; others are floor mats only.
- Retention clips: the driver’s mat should lock to the car’s anchors so it can’t slide under the pedals.
- Material: TPE is light and odorless; carpet-top versions look plusher but hold dirt.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Model Y Juniper floor mats fit the Model Y L?
No. The Model Y L is longer, with a different second and third row, so it needs a set made for it.
Does the Model Y L come with floor mats?
Check what Tesla lists as included with your order. Tesla also sells Model Y L all-weather liners separately.
Are 3W’s Model Y L mats worth it?
They’re the only third-party set from a brand we already trust that’s made for the Model Y L, and with our 35% code they cost less than Tesla’s liners while covering more of the car. They’re new, so we’ll update this page as owner feedback comes in.
